If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Our funny dog

Scott and I left home today around 12:30 to grab some lunch- then I went to a friends house to learn how to cook something called "jaozi" and Scott hit a coffee shop to read and stuff. We didn't make it home until about 6:30... meaning that our little dog Duke was home alone for 6 hours!!!

We don't do this very often, because when we leave him home alone we usually come home to a bit of chaos, no matter how much we puppy proof his room.

We've found that he can get on the coffee table, under the TV stand, up on the couches and even into our bookbags. He is quite clever.
So when we came home today, I was really suprised to find that everything was in place... except when I looked closely at the floor, I saw Santa's legs scattered on the floor.
I had forgotten to take down our Merry Christmas sign, which is being held by Santa, a snowmen and a reigndeer. All of their legs had been torn off!
The sign must have fallen down while we were gone- I laughed so hard when I realized what it was.
And don't worry about the sign...for some reason, he just ate the legs and didn't chew up the faces!

He's getting so big now- and he is always making us laugh. He's recently had an extreme need to dig and bury his dog treats. So I give him rags in his little box where he sleeps, and he takes his 'pup corn' and burys it. Sometimes if he can't find anywhere to bury his treats, he runs around in circles and whines!
He's big enough to jump on the bed now, so in the middle of the night he always jumps up and chews on my hair and licks Scott's ears. Scott hates it, but it cracks me up.
