Family snuggle time
Joelle loves rides in the golf carts!
Her FIRST glimpse of the ocean on the ferry ride to the Island
First time on the beach! She went from giddy to confused to mad (because I wouldn't let her eat the sand) then back to giddy when she saw seagulls.
Oh kill me now I love those chunky arms!!
Mmm sand.
Joelle, you want some crackers?
No thanks mom, I'll never finish all this sand.
I love how the camera unintentionally focused on the waves, its kinda creative!
She wasn't quite sure how she felt about waves.
Our first family photos at the beach
Oh, by the way- can you tell I caved and got the blond highlights? Zero self control.
Whee!
Hah! You thought you'd see ONE post of us without a fishing pole, didn't you? NEVER!
We had so much fun fishing in the surf. Scott caught some Blues and a Pompano and a couple trigger fish. I had fun catching shad in the casting net for bait!
We bought our salt-water fishing license and thank goodness we did! Second time we were out in the surf the Wild-Life ranger people guys drove up and got out just as Scott was reeling in his pompano. We asked "Do you need to see our licence?" and they were so surprised we even knew we had to have one!
"Not our first time," we replied.
By the way, getting your fishing license helps support the economy and keep our wonderful Rangers with a job. so don't be a bum! They're only $10 at Wal-Mart.
On one of our last days at Bald Head, Scott and I went fishing in the marsh and I caught a baby grouper (what a cutie) and a croaker. Not kidding, the fish really croaks. CcRrrrrrr. like that.
Joelle loves her Grandaddy and Gran Gran!!
