If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

a better lemonade

I had an interesting interaction with my daughter yesterday.  She was helping herself to sips of a friend's drink... that friend found it very cute but I did not.  I pulled Joelle away and told her to come stand on a chair in the kitchen while I make her her very own cup of lemonade.

She broke down and threw the biggest fit, screaming and fighting me the whole way, mad that I had taken something away from her.  I plopped her up on a chair and even though I was promising her that something so much better was coming, she fought me and wanted to go back to what she had!

I felt so frusterated that she didn't believe when I was promising her something better, and I felt like God was nodding a knowing nod and asking "Sound familiar?"
