Last week, Scott and I stayed at Will and Rebekah's house while they were away on a youth retreat. It was a good time to have some alone time and also to visit friends in the area, since we've been out of state most of the summer. One day Scott went golfing and I visited Emily.
Mecaden wears an implant that allows her to hear; she was born profoundly deaf and had surgery the day before her first birthday. It is called the cochlear implant, and it was activated the day before I came over. Now she is responding to noise and it's so exciting!
Mecaden is just yummy. I could gobble her us with a spoon.
