This is part of an email that was sent to my mom regarding my brother who is in the National Guard:
"Ma'am,
I believe you may be the mother of Sgt John Skaar of the Alaska Army National Guard who is also one of the very select Eagle Scouts of the Boy Scouts of America. As you well know, John is an outstanding young man and I wanted you to know he has been one of the highlights of my move into the AK National Guard command section. ...John is a very smart man. Thank you for supporting your soldier. He speaks very fondly of his family...."
I'm so proud of you, big brother! Thank you for serving our country!
