Some years ago there was a Discover Channel special on the Mekong Catfish. Did you know the largest Mekong ever recorded was over 600 pounds? Our friends asked us what we would do if we caught one that big... I said "run!"

Even though it was hard work to bring in all these heavy-weights, we could relax in the bungalow in between bites. We ordered some curry chicken (whooo spicy!) and pineapple chicken with rice and gulped down the Pepsi since it was so hot.
I'm kissing the fish for letting me reel him in in under 10 minutes. Goood fish.
oh man was I WORN OUT! The fishing guide said he was concerned I would pull in one fish and then give up (so of course I had to prove him wrong) and I'm still paying for it. ...good excuse for a massage, though.
See the belt Scott is wearing? When we hooked the fish, we had to hurry and put it on before we start bringing them in, otherwise we'd bruise our whole stomach holding the rods. It also helped you get better control of the rod, and use your back instead of your biceps.
