If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Tour around town

Maybe this will give you a good idea of what our town looks like!! Quaint might be the word you are looking for.... These are all Chinese medicines.... we also find these in our medicine. The brown stars (bottom right) smell like what we have in our cough syrup!
This is where I buy a number of my spices: cinnamon, sage, cloves, black peppercorns and even white pepper
Below is one of my favorite streets to walk down. I have lovingly nicknames this the "Tea Street" because of the huge baskets of tea leaves for sale on the side of the road.
This man was selling Blood Oranges- it was my first time to taste them and they are fantastic!
This is a home on Tea Street- all of these homes are about 1 or 2 bedrooms with poor lighting and half-doors but they ALL have TV's!
This section of town is under construction- I'm so sad to see the quaintness of this street be replaced with paved roads and street lamps and clothing stores- it's a shame because these streets haven't been changed for hundreds of years.
Some more construction...
Below is a house on campus- they grow vegetables on the roof!

I like the photo of "Spice Street". Looks like no preservatives were added! Reminds me of Mexico when I was in my 20s. Blessings, Dad
