Here's some more belly shots- all were taken in River City last week. And I should note that as I'm writing this, he is either surfing or playing the bongos inside me :-) In the picture below I was working on my 4th bottle of water within 2 hours. It was SO HOT.
Below was taken on the airplane going to River City- the stewardess asked me to put this pillow in between me and the seat belt in case there was any turbulance. How sweet! We took two plane flights that day. The second plane flight was so different. Not only was there no special treament, but I was pushed around like a little rag doll because there is no order at all in public places in China: People were pushing me out of the way to hurry and get on the plane (like they aren't going to get a seat) and then on the tram to get from the plane to the airport I was beyond furious that mothers let their 10 year old sons sit down in the limited seats while I stood holding onto the rail with one hand and the other protecting the bump from flying suitcases and elbows. The final straw was getting pushed from behind just as I was getting off the bus with a suitcase. I may have thrown an elbow at that point. Don't worry, I didn't get him in the face. I missed.
Here I'm chomping on cool, sweet watermellon in the hotel. They also had real banana bread!
I still love being pregnant- but I have to admit that I'm beginning to feel overwhelmed because we're pregnant at a chaotic time. We're planning a big move to River City after he is born... even though River City is a huge step-up from where we live now, we'll have to learn a new dialect and get used to the new foods and at the same time adjust to life with an infant. Advice is welcome!!
I keep wondering if the Proverbs 31 woman who could "laugh at the days to come" ever had her first pregnancy in a foreign country and had to move all her earthly belongings in the dead of winter! haha

I am pretty sure you don't know me but I go to Parkwood. I love to read you blog and am very excited about your pregnancy. One thing I assumed that everyone knew about a newborn: When you get up to change diapers or feed during the night. Keep it as quite and dark as possible. My best friend could not figure out why she could not get her daughter back to sleep after feedings. She was turning lights on, the tv on. I told her to leave the lights and tv off and within two nights she was lieing right back down. I hope that helps.
