Joelle is growing so fast! She's sleeping 7-8 hours a night, staying awake for an hour after each nap, lifting her head quite well during tummy time and giggles at everything.
What a joy to have such a happy baby!
We finally directed her to sleep 7 hours a night last week. Her "internal clock" was stuck at 4 am, and according to BabyWise, she's ready to sleep through the night. So we followed the advice to let her cry it out. She wailed for almost 45 minutes the first night. I repeatedly tried to get out of bed to get her, but Scott reassured me that giving her the gift of night-time sleep was the best thing for her. She fell back asleep and woke up cooing at 7 am. The next night, she stirred at 4 am, then whimpered on and off for 15 minutes. The third night, she stirred, let out one "Waaaa" and was immediately fast asleep afterwards.
Babywise to the rescue! Now we're thinking about moving from a 3 hour schedule to a 4 hour schedule... she seems disinterested in eating when there's only been 3 hours in between feedings. AH! I can't believe how fast our baby girl is growing!
She is wearing 3 month footed pj's and they are quite roomy, but I can still squeeze her into her long-sleeve NewBorn onsies. Strange.
Our new favorite thing is watching her do "the stretch" when she wakes up. She balls up her fists and puts them under her chin and then arches her back, throws her head back and coos. Ah-dorable!
