If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

My Valentine

Photo Fabulous February
day 14

these are not fabulous, but they are photos, and they are in February...
so long as it fits two of the three, I'm ok.
Me and my Valentine after a wonderful date together!
This Valentine's was a big milestone for us... it was our first date having left Joelle with a babysitter.  Sweet Kirsten kept her for a few hours while Scott and I went to dinner and then to a coffee shop to play games.

Every year, Scott does something super creative for Valentine's day.  This year was no different; we played game after game and it was non stop laughter.  The people at the coffee shop wondered what we slipped in our cappuccinos.

One of the games we played was to create a Valentines poem, but with funny rules.  One person would describe a character, and the other person had to use that to create part of the poem... So we made up a story about a girl named Mary who met a boy named Trevor in a chat-room for selling stuff like e-bay, and we wrote this poem about it:

There once was a girl called Mary
Who was tall and dark, but not scary
Her eyes were blue
She was skinny, too
and danced around like a fairy.

A boy named Trevor there was
who was always sweating, because
his height was short,
his belly was port
and was often covered in fuzz

In a world of mice and wires
Where people are too often liars
Trevor was glad
that Mary's not mad
How they met in a chat room for buyers.

Trevor said, "What would you like?"
she answered, "A two-seater bike."
"That I do have,"
said Trevor, so glad
"I can bring it over tonight."

When he came, he felt all aflush
Her beauty caused him to blush!
"There's no way" thought he
"She could fall for me"
So he said not a word in a hush

His appearance to her was no factor
She cared not for looks of an actor
But for a hand to hold,
and together grow old
And from then it was love "ever after".

Funny, right?

Thank you for a wonderful Valentine's day, Scott.  I had so much fun, I love your creativity and resourcefulness.
You are my life-long Valentine, my person to grow old with, my hero, my leader, my best friend.
