Scott makes me laugh. Whenever I ask him to hold her for "just a second" he gets a big grin on his face and says "sure, just a second." Then he zooms around the room with her yelling "Baby thief! Baby thief!" and won't give her back.
As I'm typing this post, I hear the little squirt has woken up. And is babbling to herself. "ooh huh. ah pbbth. greeeeeee." She has so much to say.
My "itsy bitsy spider" is out of control. Theeee itsy-bitsy spider crawled up the- I'M GONNA GET YOU! I'M GONNA GET YOU! I can't help it, it makes her laugh.
She'll learn it the right way eventually.
Wow, mom. You're right. I am cute.
Your dad's giant hands crack me up, too.
In the world of Joelle, things are pretty good! She's eating well, sleeping so-so (still trying to figure out how much formula to supplement BLECH I HATE FORMULA) but at least she is still nursing at each feeding so I can't complain. I slept for 10 hours last night because Scott fed her the very last feeding of the day AND JoJo slept in 30 minutes extra this morning.
But. Her toe. Oh her poor toe. I gave her a bath last night and when I was putting her lotion on, I noticed it. Some strands of my hair were wrapped around one of her little toes, cutting off the circulation. The tip of the toe was angry red and the hair was dug so tightly into her skin I couldn't get to it with my fingernails. So Scott had to come and dig the tweezers in to pull it off. Joelle screamed in pain each time we barely touched the toe-- who knows how long it had been there? One day later, she still has the indention, but the blood is flowing and the color is back to normal. Hair. Who knew? I'm probably going to shave my head now, because that was super scary. Thank the Lord we saw it when we did!
