If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

"Things I've Learned..." written by Scott

Disclaimer: I must first confess that this idea is not original with me, another friend did something similar. But since I have recently found myself in the same situation as him, I though it fitting to copy his idea (thanks Fred!). The idea is the same but the content is different.

Christine has been at a women's retreat in a large city down south for the last three days leaving me home alone with our dog Adrian. Here are some things I've learned while she's been away:

1) My clothes really don't wash themselves

2) Dog pee is really hard to get out of the couch

3) Fruit flies can gather in a hurry on rotting fruit

4) It takes less time to wash the dishes than go to the store and buy new ones

5) Three days is about the limit for one pair of underwear

6) Macaroni and Cheese gives our dog diarrhea

7) I have no idea where we keep the cleaning supplies

8) Coasters apparently do prevent water rings from forming on the coffee table

9) I had no idea how hard Christine works to keep this house clean

and finally...

10) I really, really, really, really love and miss my wife.

I thank the Lord that because of the life we live I am able to spend 95% of my day alongside my partner in life. I don't have to do what I did this weekend very often.

I am so blessed!
