If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Out and About

I'm still trying to catch you all up on all the things that have been going on- we have been ridiculously busy having fun and we've managed to get lots of pictures in the mean time. Scott and I went for a bike ride to the out skirts of town- here's what that part of town looks like.

...And saw this pony tied up in the river bed. What's up with that?
Adrian is getting bigger and funnier. I couldn't resist snapping her photo next to the hydrant.

We're really enjoying our classes- (most of the time)! Cai Dan is my FAVORITE teacher, and becoming my best friend too. She teaches our speaking class, which now has two more foreign students from Africa.

This is just inside the gate of our school- can you see the pretty fall leaves?

This is the soccer field on campus. Last weekend we celebrated the "boone olympics" (more about that in a different post)

This is right outside our apartment and this lady is our neighbor. She is usually really reserved.

I snapped a picture of her kid (see below this pic) and they have never seen a camera that shows the picture right away, so I snapped a bunch and the kids loved looking at themselves. Then I gave the camera to one of the kids and showed them how to take a picture. On the second snap I picked up the little girl and my neighbor picked up her son and snuggled into the picture.

I was so thrilled!!

Here's her son- isn't he adorable? (on the right, below)

I see these three kids every day- they run after me yelling "Ni Hao Ni Hao Ni Hao!" (hello hello hello)

Here is Scott walking down the main street in this section of town. We're on our way to our favorite fried noodle shop.

One day I had some free time so I went and sat with my little buddy in his mom's shop- he had a huge piece of cake and no fork so he put the whole thing up to his mouth and just chowed down.
