If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Our little Fig

How your baby's growing:

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two- now will you notice the hiccuping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.-babycenter.com

At 11 weeks, I'm feeling better and better- although all the recent traveling in Beijing left me exhausted and a little nauseated, I'm recovering with plenty of naps now. My belly is "now you see it, now you don't". I stepped on a scale again when we got home and Scott calculated that I lost 9 pounds since the beginning of the pregnancy! I was shocked but my research is telling me that it's quite normal. I'm only surprised that my eating is back to normal (especially all the recent McDonald's and T.G.I. Friday's) and yet I've only gained a 1/2 pound back.

I'm finding now that my pre-natal vitamin is a main source of nausea for me. (You were right, Emily!) No time of day makes a difference and I'm battling wanting to take it... but with still not stomaching most veggies, it's a must! *sigh*

While in Beijing, we went to an international hospital. The ultrasound is just AMAZING- Scott and I were very shocked to see him or her moving so much (as you'll hear in our voices :-)

I love you so much little baby!!

Best gift we've gotten this week: Ben and Tabitha gave us two onesies- one with polka dots and one with clouds all over! Thank you so much Ben and Tab!

Best reaction to our pregnancy this week: Our doctor in Beijing kept saying "You are smiling so much- you both look so happy!" We told her about our long wait and she said "Now I see why you are so happy. Congratulations!"

I can't believe I ate: French fries and hamburgers more than 4 or 5 times last week (I'm so glad we don't have a McDonald's in our city)

So so precious. I laughed when I saw the camera zoom to your face, because my hand was over my mouth, just like yours was as I was watching the US. :)

Love you, sweet friend. What a precious little one. Did you get my last email?

Congratulations, Christine! That is SO exciting!! You'll be such a great Mommy!

For the nausea with the prenatal vitamin... if you can find them or have someone mail them to you... Flinstone chewables have the exact same content as prenatals. And they taste must better! Just make sure that you get the ones with iron!.. it's good for your "fig"!

Congratulations, again!
