17 Weeks Pregnant
How your baby's growing:
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord- her lifeline to the placenta- is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.-babycenter.com
What's going on these days:
- I'm loving one of my pregnancy side-effects: long, strong fingernails. It looks like I've gone to the salon and gotten a set of acrylics... and I have continued washing/cooking/ playing with the dog as usual- hardly anything can crack these babies!
- Scott says today is the only day I've been crazy hormonal in a while. I'm going to make a sign like they have in factories "___ # of days accident free" only mine will say "___# of days crazy free"
- I'm having weirder and weirder dreams. I've had guest appearances from Emily and Mecaden, John (on his birthday- how funny is that?) and Sawyer from Lost.
- One day this week, I went to bed around 10pm. I woke up the next morning at 9:30 am, took a nap from 2- 5 and then went to sleep again around 10. I wonder if I'm getting enough sleep? hahahaha
