If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

a Baby Wise Daddy

BabyWise recommends having playtime after feeding to help them develop good sleeping/ eating patterns, so Scott always plays with Joelle after I nurse her. Here are a few photos... sorry I'm stuck in a black&white rut, I can't seem to help myself!

Scott has some of the silliest conversations with her when he is doing play time. Yesterday he was saying, "Joelle! Don't fall asleep! Stay awake for daddy! Why don't you want to stay awake for daddy? Is it because you like mommy more than me? You only like her better because she has the milk; that's not fair, I can't do that!"

I didn't get much sleep last night, so I've been quite the witch today. While they were snuggling and chatting I came to sit on the bed and unkindly told Scott to move over. So Scott ignored me and turned to Joelle, "Joelle, Mommy's yelling again. I know, I don't like it, either. When you start talking you're going to say all the time, Daddy why is mommy yelling again?"

Well, I'll keep trying! Be patient with me Scott! thanks for helping so much with our daughter!

I stumbled across your blog from another one and had to take a closer look. Small world story is that I grew up in Gastonia and your husband was either a grade or two a head of me at Ashbrook. Even smaller world story, my mom lives on the same street as his parents! He might have been in the same grade as my older sister Allison (Lindsey was our maiden name) and my best friend from home is Heather (Martin) Prince. Congratulations to you both on your new daughter!
