If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Looking forward to '11.

2011.  WOW! Christmas is gone, the new year is here, along with a lot of new things for us.  I have some things on my brain from 2010:

1. Two-Thousand-Ten is hard to say.  The teen's were easier... you could even leave off the "19" part and just say "remember back in '89?".  But it's odd to say "hey, remember back in '10"?   No one knows you're talking about the year.

2. What's up with Christmas songs, lately?  What's wrong with the original composition that EVERY singer feels the need to stray from the harmony and make it wacky?  I give permission to Mariah Carey to stray every now and then... but Miley Cyrus, you break my achy breaky heart with your Christmas songs.

3. It's weird to think the huge amount of "growing up" I did in 2010. I experienced my first pregnancy and gave birth all in one year.  You'd think I would be all grown up and dignified... but no.  I still love eating marshmallow fluff right from the jar, and I sing songs from Enchanted around the clock.

4. Duke won the NCAA championship in '10.  UNC lost the NIT.  HAHAHAHA!!

Here's my thoughts about 2011:
1. First, the obvious. We have a baby! Holy Cow I still can't believe we have a baby.  If I loved her anymore than I do right now, I'm pretty sure I would bust.  2011 is going to be crazy because they grow so fast and so many major milestones happen in the first year.  When I'm not nursing, blogging or cleaning, I'm going to be dangerously busy scrapbooking. (thanks to the 1 billion scrapbooking things my sister sent me!)

2. This will be the first time in 3 years that we will celebrate Scott's birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years in the USA!  Joelle will also celebrate her first birthday at home.  We're coming home in August, and we'll be there at least 6 months before coming back to China.  !!! Exclamation marks is all I can think to say about that. !!!!!

3. Scott and I will be married for FIVE years come August, 2011.  I will also turn 26, Scott will turn 30.  How grown up are we??

4. Event I'm looking forward to the most in 2011:  two words.  OAK ISLAND.  I can picture it now. 6 adults... 4 children... 1 beach house.  Bring. It. On.

5. Last but not least, I'm not making any New Years resolutions because I'm already perfect.  A friend suggested I work on humility, but obviously that's not necessary.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
