If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Sony Cybershot 3.0

When we go out and about, I try to snap photos here and there if the camera is handy. I'm impressed with the amount of things we can do with such a small, inexpensive camera.... I'm hoping to get a professional camera one of these days but for now I'm spending all our money on diapers and laundry detergent. haha
Pros of this camera:
rechargeable battery saves tons of money
the auto adjustment and high sensitivity settings almost always take a good photo
there is a manual setting, although it's limited
you can adjust the camera to take photos in burst mode (good for photographing pets/kids)
has face detection (focuses on the faces)
has red-eye reduction
adjustable although limited focus can take semi-pro looking photos

Cons of this camera:
slow to turn on
doesn't have a good setting for night photos, even with the flash (all blurry)
sports setting is clear but very very dark (doesn't work indoors)
the M setting is also too dark, only works in bright sunlight

Here's some random pictures, to get the idea of what this camera can do:

program mode
program mode
ISO
auto program
auto program

program mode has 5 color settings: normal, vivid, natural, sepia and b&w

 landscape

ISO (we always use ISO for photographing Adrian, cause she's a quick little bugger)

So my basic summary of this camera is: it's great for people who don't know what they are doing (like me) but slowly learning.  It takes a great picture even when you aren't trying, and takes an even better picture once you understand a little camera "language" and understand how to make the settings work for you!

Like I said, I'd like a professional camera one day... so if you own a nice camera, I invite you to do your own review/ recommendation!!
