I've been so sick this past week- I've missed all of my classes except one- that I'm finding it hard to feel grateful for anything. But just now as I was sending a text message to my teacher, I hit the 'END' button on my phone and was afraid I deleted the whole text. I opened back up the SMS and saw that the whole message had been saved! Maybe it's pregnancy hormones, but a feeling of gratitude swept over me and I started thinking about all the little things that make me smile during the day.
~watching Scott listen to a sports broadcast while washing the dishes for me (every. single. day.)
~my dog- who, after I retched in the trashcan this morning came out of her cage and sat by the bed and scratched her little paw on the bed. I woke up with her big pitiful eyes staring straight at me like she was saying "mommy are you okay?" I pulled her up in the bed and she snuggled with her chin tucked into my neck all morning.
~knowing my parents are going to Alabama tomorrow and they will skype me so I get to see Hannah, Sadie Anne, and Seth!!!!
~tonight Scott went grocery shopping and told me he was just going to make 'baked chicken and mashed potatoes'... but brought me the most delicious chicken and gravy dish that took over an hour to prepare and bake.
~I get to see Howard and Debbie in THREE DAYS in PERSON! when we pick them up at the airport on Sunday and then we have TWO WHOLE WEEKS TOGETHER
~I was able to finally get out of bed today and do Pilate's for the first time in the last 8 weeks
~I am thankful for potatoes. I think our baby will be like me and order just a huge plate of mashed potatoes when we go to Cracker Barrel.
~this morning, Grace showed me a note she wrote for uncle Scott that said "Love You" with 4 exclamation marks. My note only had 2 exclamation marks and Scott was teasing me saying Grace loves him more. Grace grinned and said "I RAN OUT OF ROOM!" and then wrote me another note with seven exclamation marks!! How do you like that RAM JUICE HAAAAAA! I love you, Grace!!!!!!!!(that's 8 exclamation marks)
~I am nearing the beginning of my third month of pregnancy... and this morning sickness will be gone soon and hopefully be replaced by a great big baby bump!!
~I love having a hot water heater. I've had a hot shower every day since we moved into this new house
~I love the Bible Scott bought me on our first Christmas
~I like the flannel pants that Howard and Debbie sent Scott for Christmas last year (but I've kidnapped them and he never gets to wear them HAHA)
~I'm so unbelievable thankful for this little miracle baby we're going to have in November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
