If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Attention Target Shoppers

You may have bought some BLUE clothes because of our 18 week ultrasound.... (look between the legs for a little 'turtle')

But the most recent ultrasound shows that you might want to buy PINK.... (look between the legs for a little 'hamburger')....

???? We're so confused! Is it a boy or a girl?? There are two theories being tossed around.... 1.) What we thought was "boy parts" was the umbilical cord playing tricks or 2.) We're having twins. I'm A-ok with either!!

We'll see when he or she or they are born in November!!! Meanwhile we're accepting all white, yellow and green clothes haha.

Enough about that. Take a look at the 26 week ultrasound shots! Let me take a second to bless the Lord for letting us live just a day's travel away from this amazing hospital where we can get great medical care. I thought at the beginning of my pregnancy that I wouldn't have any medical care at all- but I've had three ultrasounds at a great, clean hospital as well as a glucose test!! (more about that later)
Measuring the brain- it's normal size which means she's already taking after her dad....

4-D ultrasounds ROCK!! Is that NOT Scott's nose?? She had both her hands snuggled up by her face so the ultrasound technologist kept thumping my belly to get her to move her hands to get a shot of her face. It was hilarious!

This is the blood flow of the umbilical cord! It's also another shot of the bottom and as you can see, there's no "turtle".

This is a picture of the blood flow in the heart chambers. What's weird to me is they can count/ measure the 4 chambers and then monitor the blood flow but we still have no idea if it's a boy or girl haha!

Everything measured great with the baby! But I had a glucose test and was surprised to find that my blood sugar level measured high! Yikes, how did that happen?? The doctor wasn't surprised when I told him my diet was mostly noodles, rice, stir-fried vegetables and lots of fruit. (Luckily for the past 2 months we've been out of butter so I haven't been able to make desserts like I usually do- that was a blessing in disguise!)
He said just to eliminate starchy things and even fruits with high sugar/starch and the problem will go away. I am very much mourning the loss of my daily lunch of noodles and potatoes and then gorging myself on watermelon, mango, bananas at night while we watch TV!!
